Dear fellow Centralians,

Loving greetings to all of you!

Our Class reunion was a memorable one. Even if some were not able to come for some reasons, yet God is so good because something valuable and memorable was organized and agreed upon.

The Group agreed to put up a MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT FUND in memory of Dean Natividad G. Sitchon. The purpose of this is to help a student who is eager to go to school but cannot, because of some financial problem. This fund will help a student pursue his/her studies in the College of Commerce, Central Philippine University. Only the interest of this will be used.

Your help is being solicited in order that we could meet our goal – P150,000.00 to P175,000.00. Below is a sample of the PLEDGE CARD. Please send to Central Philippine University your pledge of commitment.

Thank you very much for your full support and cooperation for our project. God bless you and bless you more.

Sincerely yours,

The new professional teachers  took their oath of profession at the Rose Memorial Auditorium on November 5, 1999 with  Sen. Franklin Drilon as guest of honor. Drilon, also a Centralian, lauded the performance of his alma mater and  call on the new teachers to  respond to the challenges of the coming millennium.

CPU got a 91.30% passing percentage, at that time, which was comparatively higher than the 50.92% national percentage. The following year another Centralian, in  the person of Engr. Adonis  Jezrel Jagorin (BSEE ’95)ranked 2nd  in the  April board results.
CPU registered a 100%  assing percentage in that examination.
