94th U-Day results  

Eng'g grabs championship title  
  

The College of Engineering grabbed the championship title in the 94th U-Day competitions with a slim margin of 3.5 points against the perennial winner- the CPU Development High School (CPUDHS). Engineering got 449.5 points while CPUDHS scored 446 points. The. College of Commerce settled for 3rd place with 445.5 points - half a point away from the 2nd placer.  

Based on the final report by Engr. Dahlia Pescos, chairperson of the Ranking and Scoring Committee, the  College of Engineering topped Category 3 events. The College also got first place in Math Quiz, Chess, Table Tennis, Volleybal and Basketball (Men), Softball (Women).  

The CPUDHS topped Category 1 and 4 events. High School got first place in Binalaybay, General Information, Lip Synch, Lawn Tennis men and women, Creative Interpretative Dance, Folk Dance, Mr. CPU and Exhibit.  

The College of Commerce got  first place in Oration (English), Classical Vocal Duet, Table Tennis (Women), Cheering and Yelling, Choral and Soccer (Men).  

The performance of the other colleges and the events they excelled in are as follows: Arts and Sciences (4th) – Reading Comprehension (Category 1 & 2), Chess (Men), Volleyball (Women); Education (5th) –Composo, Spelling, Vocal Duet (Pop), Miss CPU, Soccer (Women) and Foot Parade; Agriculture (6th) – Sepak Takraw; Theology (7th) – Filipino Declamation, Filipino Oration, Debate, Picnic; Nursing (8th) – Bible Quiz, Vocal Solo Classical, Vocal Solo Pop. The College of Law, as usual, ranked  9th..
