ACE-CPU CONSTITUTION
Preamble
We,
the graduates of the College of Education of Central Philippine University,
in order to maintain close linkage with our Alma Matter,
develop and maintain fellowship and camaraderie among ourselves,
promote and enhance the ideals and objective of the institution,
to the end that we can best serve the individual,
community and nation,
do hereby organize ourselves into an association.
Article I. Name, Domicile, Motto, Color and Logo
| Section 1. | The name of the Association shall be: Alumni College of Education of Central Philippine University (ACE-CPU). | ||
| Section 2. | The headquarters shall be at the office of the Dean, College of Education, Central Philippine University, Jaro Iloilo City. | ||
| Section 3. | The Color shall be Blue and White. | ||
| Section 4. | The Motto shall be: ACE, Christian Service Always. | ||
| Section 5. | The Logo shall be: College of Education Logo, open book and lighted torch with the motto, ACE Christian Service Always. | ||
Article II. Membership and Fees
| Section 1. | All graduates of the College of Education at Central Philippine University shall be eligible for membership. | ||
| Section 2. | An annual fee of ten pesos ($10.00) shall be charged. However, one can be a life member of the association upon payment of $10.00. | ||
Article III. Officers
| Section 1. | The officers of the association will be the President; 1 Vice President for Panay, (Capiz, Aklan, Antique, Iloilo) and 1 for Negros Occidental; Secretary; Treasurer; Auditor; Business Manager; and Public Relations Officer; chosen from the elected Board of Directors of fifteen (15) members. | ||
| Section 2. | Election of the Board of Directors shall be by secret ballot; that of the officers by viva-voce. | ||
| Section 3. | An election and nomination committee shall be appointed by the President for the purpose. | ||
Article IV. Amendments
| Section 1. | Provision in the constitution may be amended by two thirds (2/3) vote of the Board of Directors or majority vote of the membership in a meeting. | ||
Article V. Special Provisions
| Section 1. | The President may create the necessary committees he may deem proper for general and special activities of the association. | ||
| Section 2. | The Board of Directors shall be responsible to the association to the Association in the control of the finances and in the pursuance of its aims and purposes. It shall meet at least once every two months. Special meeting however, may be called by the President. | ||
| Section 3. | The adviser of the Association shall be the Dean, College of Education and the Dean of Graduate School of the University. | ||
| Section 4. | The term of office of the Board of Directors shall be for two (2) years, subject to re-election. The Robert Rules of Order shall be the basis in governing the Association on matters not otherwise specified in the constitution. | ||
