1st Place Photo Contest Winner, Perseus  B. Gamuza  Jr. receives his award and certificate.

The awarding ceremony of the CPU Festival of Lights and Music at Central 2016 1st Photo Contest was held on December 14 at the 3rd floor of Robinsons Place Jaro, Iloilo City. It was attended by students, photo enthusiasts and Alumni officials headed by CPUAAI President Daniel P. Dorillo, Vice President and Festival of Lights 2016 Overall Chair Engr. Isagani Jalbuena, and Liaison Officer Tina Marie P. Hortelano. Also present were CPU Communications Director Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Keziah G. Huelar Publishing Assistant and CPU Media Relations and Publishing Officer and Chair of the Photo Contest Committee, Cyrus A. Natividad.

Cash awards were given to owners of three photos chosen from among those  taken during the switch on of lights and fireworks display last December 2. The winners are Perseus B. Gamuza, Jr. (1st Place), Vanessa Joie Rapirap (2nd Place), and Matt G. Autajay (3rd Place) – all from the CPU Junior High School.

Many viewers of the photo exhibits of the Festival of Lights and Music at Central 2016 1st Photo Contest expressed optimism for opportunities that the event could bring next year. It is expected that the event, with the support of the CPUAAI, the Administration and sponsors like the Robinsons Malls will go bigger in scope with more participants.

The photo contest ran along other new events added to this year’s Festival of Lights and Music at Central 2016.
