Foreign Students Admission Requirements I. Kindergarten, Elementary, High School - Special Study Permit from the Bureau of Immigration. Requirements: 1. Letter-request of the parents addressed to the Chief, Student's Desk, Bureau of Immigration, Manila, for issuance of Special Study Permit (SSP) for their son/daughter with the following supporting documents: a. Two (2) original copies of Elementary/High School Permanent school record duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy in the applicant's country of origin (bearing the Embassy's red ribbon); 2. Certificate of Acceptance from the Office of the Registrar. 3. Bureau of Immigration (BI) Application fee of 3,730.00 Php. II. College A. Foreign Students below 18 years old and those enrolling for a non-degree course of less than one (1) year - SPECIAL STUDY PERMIT Requirements: 1. Letter-request addressed to the Registrar, Central Philippine University, Jaro, Iloilo City, stating the intention to enroll in the University. 2. Supporting documents: a. Affidavit of Support duly notarized; 3. Certificate of Acceptance from the Office of the Registrar. 4. Bureau of Immigration (BI) Application of 3,730.00 Php. B. Foreign Students, 18 years old and above for degree courses - STUDENT VISA Procedure/Requirements: 1. If The Applicant Is Abroad a. Student communicates with the Higher Education Institution (HEI) authorized to accept foreign enrollees and complies with the following documents: a.1. Three (3) original copies of Application for Admission of Foreign Students (Application Form can be downloaded below); a.2. Three (3) original copies of Personal History Statement duly accomplished and signed by the applicant in English and in national alphabet accompanied by personal seal, if any, original left and right thumb prints on PHS Form and original colored photos taken not more than six (6) months prior to submission (PHS Form can be downloaded below); a.3. Two (2) original copies of Transcript of Record/High School (Secondary) Permanent Record, High School (Secondary) Diploma, Certificate of Graduation duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the applicant's country of origin or legal Residence (File copy: BI and school file); a.4. Affidavit of support and proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses of applicant's accommodations and subsistence, as well as school fees and other incidental expenses. Include bank statement of deposits duly notarized and authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the applicant's country of origin or legal residence; a.5. Photocopy of data page of the applicant's passport showing date and place of birth, and birth certificate or its equivalent duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the applicant's country of origin or legal residence; b. Upon compliance of the required documents, the Office of the Registrar issues Notice of Acceptance (NOA); c. For those desiring to enroll in the College of Medicine, submit your school records to the Office of the Dean, College of Medicine for evaluation and if found in order, a Certificate of Eligibility for Admission (CEA) is issued to the applicant; d. The Office of the Registrar then submits documents including the certified true copy of the CEA of those enrolling in the College of Medicine to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA); e. The DFA endorses the documents to the Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP) in the applicant/student's country of origin or legal residence for the issuance of the corresponding student visa (9f); f. PFSP notifies student-applicant with instruction that he/she appears in person before the Consular Officer for interview and submission of required documents, as follows; f.1. Original copy of the school's Notice of Acceptance (NOA) a clear impression of the school's dry seal; f.2. Original copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for Admission (CEA) issued by the Office of the Dean if enrolling in the College of Medicine; f.3. Police clearance issued by the national police authorities in the applicant's country of origin or legal residence duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place; and f.4. Medical Health Certificate issued by an authorized physician including but not limited to standard-size chest x-ray, HIV, Hepatitis B clearance. The Consular Office shall not assume the task of determining the student's scholastic fitness for the program applied for and shall issue the student visa as soon as all the requirements are accomplished g. PFSP approves application for student visa (9f) which is valid for an initial period of one (1) year from the date of approval; h. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sends notice to accepting school on the issuance of the student visa to the applicant, copy furnished CHED, BI, NICA and NBI; i. Upon arrival in the Philippines, the student/applicant will now file for his/her Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and Certificate of Residence for Temporary Student (CRTS) from the Bureau of Immigration, Manila. 2. If The Applicant Is In The Philippines As Temporary Visitor REQUIREMENTS FOR CHANGE/CONVERSION OF STATUS FROM 1. Duly notarized letter request for conversion from the applicant; a) High School/ /Graduate: 1. One (1) original copy of High School (Secondary) Permanent Record and one (1) Certificate of Graduation duly sign by the school principal duly authenticated at the Phil. Embassy/Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence. (bearing the embassy’s red ribbon) b) Those who have attended college: 1. One (1) original copy of Transcript of Records and college diploma ( for Baccalaureate degree holder) duly authenticated at the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal resi-dence (bearing the embassy’s red ribbon) Affidavit of support and proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for applicant’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school fees and other incidental expenses duly authenticated at the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence. Any document executed within the Philippines must be duly certified by the offices having custody of the originals. Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police authorities in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence duly authenticated at the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence (bearing the Embassy’s red ribbon); 5. Original copy of Medical certificate issued by the Bureau of Quarantine and Inter-national Health Surveillance or a government medical institution with competence to certify that the applicant is not afflicted with any dangerous contagious or loathsome disease and is mentally fit; 6. Photocopies of passport pages, latest admission, authorized stay and medical clearance stamped; 7. National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Clearance (NICA). The NICA Form is sent to NICA Office in Manila for evaluation and approval which requires 21 working days. 8. Bureau of Immigration (BI) Clearance Certificate 9. 8 pieces 2 x 2 latest colored pictures; 10. Non-refundable application fee of 50 US dollars; Note: 1. These requirements must be presented to the Registrar for verification and evaluation before an applicant can be issued an Acceptance; 2. For Filipino Applicant Residing Abroad a. One (1) original copy of High School (Secondary) Permanent Record and Certificate of Graduation or one (1) original copy of College of Transcript of Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy in the country of origin or legal residence. Note: 1. These requirements must be presented to the Registrar for verification and evaluation before an applicant can be issued an Application Form. 2. Incomplete requirements will not be accepted.
